On a recent trip to Nicaragua, my brand new longboard survived the whole trip...until the plane ride back home. As I unwrapped the numerous layers of padding, I was dismayed to see the nose crunched. I was not too worried though because I knew that Randy Martin of ZEM Surfboards could and would take care of it. I've actually known Randy for quite a few years and have been witness to his creativity and ability to work with all kinds of mediums. I took my precious board to him without a worry about how it would turn out. He did not disappoint. He went so far as to take my board to Home Depot in order to have the color matched perfectly. Not as easy task as the rail is a greenish bluish color. Anyway, not only did he fix the nose, he repaired other small imperfections. I got my board back looking as good as the day I bought it. It was polished, shiny and ready for a new coat of wax. I was impressed with the quality of the repair too. If you didn't know it was previously dinged, you wouldn't be able to tell it had been fixed. Include are some pictures of the board in action at Playground's in Nicaragua.
